This is the story of our adoption trip to Rwanda! We began this journey back in January of 2008 after Ned's trips to Rwanda with HMX-1. We have now had Josie home with us for one year - what a wonderful-crazy-emotional adventure this has been... I'd also like to extend my apologies to those of you looking for guidance in adopting from Rwanda. I haven't updated my blog since early 2009 and I'm just now reading your posts!

Hello and congratulations! My name is Elizabeth Hunter and I am in the process of an independent adoption from Rwanda. I have heard there are at least three families who have completed independent adoptions there in the past few months and I have been praying to find one of these families to speak with. If you can spare a moment away from your beautiful new daughter (that can't be easy!), I would be so grateful to connect with you. My email is elizamail@yahoo.com
Hi! Congratulations on adopting from Rwanda. I am actually living and working in Kigali with my husband. We have just started the adoption process here. We are navigating this process ourselves as we decided it would be quicker and easier than trying to use an agency in the US since we are here. If you are willing and have time, I would love to ask you a few questions! Hope to hear from you! Torri

Hello my name is Diana, and I wanted to send along congratulations to all of you. Our Daughter and family just completed an adoption from Rwanda. She has active blog, miryango.blogspot having returned with their new son to Vermont just 6 weeks ago. They too suffered a great loss. I was so moved to hear about the sign surrounding the similariy in name to Elliott's.
I hope your babymoon has been just wonderful, and that Agnes (I think she is the same lawyer our family had) and your family have been able to set up the post adoption survey site.
Blessings and many happy holidays and years to come.
Hello, Like everyone else, I too am looking to find out all I can about going the independent route. I would so appreciate any information that you could provide as I am at a loss as to where to start.
Thanks You so much
