Josie found her joy!

We've been asking Josie to "find her joy" ever since bringing her home.  She loves the ocean and it was the only thing she didn't have a fear of when we first introduced her to it.

Hi! Congrats on your beautiful family and on Josie's joy! What a beautiful story. My husband and I are starting the adoption process in Rwanda and are looking to do it independently. I have some questions...if you wouldn't mind sharing some expertise! forthisseason[at]gmail.com
Thx!

Hello Biehl family,

My husband & I are working towards adopting from either Rwanda or Ethiopia. My husband is also a Marine & he actually has a Marine on his team right now who used to work with Capt Biehl on HMX-1. I'd love to talk with you about Rwandan adoption if you're willing to share!

My email is yellowfinns at gmail.com.

Please contact me if you are the parents of Elliot, who passed away from SIDS in 2002. I work at Rady Children's Hospital and we were recently contacted by Mayo Clinic regarding your son's case. (ehaas@rchsd.org)

My husband and I are in the process of adopting from Rwanda (with an agency) and I found your blog. I noticed you were at the Camp P beach, we live in San Clemente (next door). Do you live close? It would be great to connect- especially once we get our child(ren). I'm hoping you continue to update. It is nice seeing all your pictures and reading your real life process. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing journey. Congratulations! If you could spare a few I'd love to chat with you about adopting independently from Rwanda. We are going through the same process with 3 children at home and I would love, love, love your advice, suggestions, expertise ... I know you are asked this repeatedly, but I'd be so grateful for your help. Warmly, Erin keges.est.1997@gmail.com

Hi Meg,

I see you are swamped with requests from parents starting out on this journey. I too would love to speak with you. More specifically though, would you be willing to pass on the contact information for your lawyer in Rwanda? She is beautiful and you have a truly lovely family.

(ignore the google account name it is related to a pizza blog - an early endeavor to pay tribute to the perfect food).

Hi Biehl Family,

I am Rwandan adoptive mom who has enjoyed reading your blog. We arrived home with our sweet son in December of 2009. I would love to talk with you sometime, maybe via email?

Hello! We are the Biehl parents of Elliot who passed away in 2002. Please forgive this incredibly delayed response as we lost access to our blog until recently. I do recall the Mayo Clinic reaching out to us regarding Elliot, but I don't want to rule out that this could be a separate request. We live in Carlsbad now after years on the East Coast. My cell is 760-814-3777. Please call if there is still a discussion to be had regarding Elliot! My best,
Megan
